“The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called “truth.” ~Dan Rather

What have you learned today? What can you apply to your life today? What wisdom do you have to share with the next student today?

It’s never about the teacher, but it’s always about the teachings. The best teacher for you lies within you. You…

“There are always ways to overcome obstacles in life. You just have to learn the art of maneuvering.” — Penna

In life we have to be as tough as possible. We cannot become overly consumed with the trivialities of life. Such as thoughts and opinions of others, petty gossip, backstabbing, letdowns. We have to be strong, because only the strongest will survive. We have to become hard as a rock.

The promising thing is that the Universe…

“I’ve learned that a coward is always afraid of the task at hand; and therefore flees from it. But, a hero will always take on any challenge at any time; and then successfully conquer it.” — Penna

Are you a hero? A hero is someone who will step up to the plate every single time there is a task to be fulfilled. A hero is a fighter. A hero is a go-getter. A hero is a winner.…

“There is no such thing as a mistake; just a growth experience.” — Penna

Every day of our lives we will face experiences to help us grow.  Even if we are having a wonderful day, there still will be experiences- within that day- to grow.  There is no such thing as a mistake.  Why?  Because there are no coincidences in life.  As, everything happens as it should.

Anything that you deem a mistake is actually a stepping-stone…

“You will never fully understand someone’s reason for hurting you.  That same someone will never fully understand your reason for hurting them.  The reason why does not matter, because there is no growth without pain.” — Penna

We hurt others because we ourselves are hurting.  When someone hurts us, we can never find it in our hearts to forgive them.  But, yet we can never seem to remember that we’ve done our share of hurting them too. …

Never waste a crisis.  Crisis situations come along to show us who our true friends really are.  When things are “smooth-sailing”, it’s so easy for others to call themselves your “friend” -because it’s convenient for them, and don’t cost them anything.  But, when things are “rocky”, you will notice that they are all of a sudden out the door.  And, those people that you never really took seriously are the ones who actually stick by you, and…

Funny. People who email me always ask me the same questions. They assume that because I write articles everyday about deep issues, such as self-esteem, love, sharing, loneliness, depression, happiness, sadness, and every other issue, that I must be out of shape, broke, lonely …. etc.

Actually, just the opposite. I am a model, young, gorgeous, a size 00- and then some. I’m writing about these real issues because:

1. They are true, and these issues really…

We scratch only the surface of our actual capabilities, talents, abilities, gifts and attributes. We never fully understand just how in-depth we can become.

Listen to this, I recently read in an article lately that there was a survey that was done, asking people what they would rather talk about on a date. The choices were:

A. Occupation,
B. Pop-Culture,
C. Literature

I’m sure you already know the most popular choice. Yes, choice B!

I…

“When you care about yourself, you automatically care about others. When you love yourself, you automatically love the world. Selfishness, then, would have absolutely no place in your heart.” — Penna

My best friend tells me that he thinks that the reason, or people’s problem with being selfish is a compensation to feel more important. “If you liked yourself more, you would not care what others thought of you. Right?”

Is that the problem with 99.9% of…

Why do people find it so hard to be better people? Like I previously wrote, I am finding out things about people that’s truly jaw-dropping. Of all the years I’ve been living on Earth, I have always freely given of myself, my time, my love, my help, my loyalty. It is truly hurtful that people are never willing to reciprocate. Why is this? People are just not strong, honest, sincere and loyal people! Where is your loyalty?
