You left me, but you cannot leave my heart. I hold you there, with or without your will. No matter where you go, you will be part of me, my dearest friend and lover still.

I’ll tell you of the pain I feel, and all the things you’ve done that hurt and make me bleed. And then your icy words you will recall, and comfort me, and give me what I need.

Any time you are doing all that you can to become the best possible you, sometimes the result isn’t just a slap in the face.  Life is a journey full of turbulence- twists and turns, ups and downs …

Phew!  So, you finally made it through the latest rough times (so you think). But just getting through the recent hardest of times consisted of more and more rough times. You were pushed around, tugged at,

Sometimes thinking too much about something isn’t worth all the time and effort. Whatever situation you’re faced with, you know the answer immediately. The problem comes in when you think too much about it.

Some things you just have to let go of.

If you know what you want, then go for it. It doesn’t require thinking, just action. Thinking can sometimes become a barrier.

Just go with what “feels” right.

If you know that a situation…

“You cannot antagonize and influence at the same time.” –J.S. Knox

Whenever you are teaching someone a new sport, craft, trade- or whatever it may be- it is better to teach with patience and understanding that they may be new at it. I’m sure that when the person came to you for help they saw a great teacher in you, and did not expect to be antagonized.

When you’re having those occasional thoughts of unaccomplishment, confusion and doubt, don’t believe those thoughts. They are not true. It’s all in your head.

Whenever you hear that loud voice screaming to you that you cannot make it, don’t believe that voice. It’s not true. It’s all in your head.

Whenever you are feeling sad, alone and afraid, don’t believe that feeling. It’s not true. It’s all in your head.

Today, know that negativity is not real.…

Most things that people tell you you have to really evaluate before believing. People say so much, but deliver very little. Most of the times they say things just to get you to believe in them and they really don’t mean any of it.

You get your hopes up and become really excited about something new, and it turns out that it was all an agenda.

Today, whenever you are told something too good to be true,…

If someone you’re distant with calls you and you don’t like what they say, you are free to hang-up. You always have the power and the choice not to stay in a relationship that isn’t working for you.

Get real. You don’t need a long distance runaround.

Take the distance as a great sign that it is meant for you two to be apart. Take advantage of the better times that you have without him. It’s about knowing

“I am ashamed to think how easily we capitulate to badges and names.” –Ralph Waldo Emerson, Self-Reliance

Time and time again I’ve been to concerts, sports games and even plays and watched how people will faint, cry, throw panties, bow to and even stalk anyone who has made a name for themselves. It’s amazing (and extremely embarrassing) how low below we are willing to put ourselves according to the rank of an honored person.    It’s as if we…

Ever look around yourself and scream, “What a mess!”  Life is pretty messy, huh?

Always a messy pile of bills, and then there’s school, work, and then home to cook and clean.

What a messy, messy world we live in. But, hey, someone’s gotta clean it up.

So why not it be you?

Today, busy yourself with cleaning up your mess.   It’s always worth it to start completely fresh.

Notice how easy it is to blow up at someone for the most minuscule things? Without even really thinking about it, we just go off don’t we?

Our embarrassment turns into hurt, then hurt into anger, and then boom!

The best way to learn to control your anger is to always remind yourself, “I’m never angry.” That way, you can trick yourself into happiness!

Or, into at least a longer temper.
