Own Self-Interest

19 February 2010 No Comments

A lot of times we enter relationships based on our own self-interest, don’t we?  Don’t we always enter with the ideas of getting something out of them, instead of giving to someone else?

By nature, we are selfish beings.  That’s what we do.  But, in order to change our natures, we must learn that a real relationship is about give and take, a 2-way street.

Today, ask yourself, “why should this person give of them-self to me, if I am not willing to give of myself to them?”  Today, move away from your own self-interest, and begin to give back.
