So Much to Offer

9 April 2009 No Comments

“I will be there for you whenever you need me. And, guess what? I promise to give to you all that I have to offer.” — Penna

As Princesses, we have so much to offer to the world, and to ourselves. Don’t we? But, somehow we forget that. We forget it because we oftentimes become consumed with the thoughts and opinions of others; which- in return- can dampen our self esteem, and how we actually view ourselves and our situations surrounding us.

We are always looking for ways to be there for people. You know, become their support team. And, although we love to give of ourselves easily, it’s sometimes not a good thing to always be self-sacrificing. Self-sacrificing is sometimes a sign of weakness, and a low self-image that others will pick up on. Especially, those people that are predators, and are used to preying on the “loving, caring, and giving” type of Princess.

How should we guard ourselves against predators? We should always be on the lookout of those types of people by staying aware of our surroundings, and keeping our guard up. There is nothing wrong with being guarded when you feel that it’s the right time. Being guarded, I’ve just recently learned, is the only way to really protect myself.

Today, try being there for those special people that are NOT looking to prey on you, nor harm you. Give to those special people that are willing to give of themselves to you. Give to those special people that actually show you the same amount- or more- of love and respect that you show them, and deserve. Today, give to those special people all the many wonderful attributes that you have to offer.
