99.9% of The People

27 April 2009 No Comments

“When you care about yourself, you automatically care about others. When you love yourself, you automatically love the world. Selfishness, then, would have absolutely no place in your heart.” — Penna

My best friend tells me that he thinks that the reason, or people’s problem with being selfish is a compensation to feel more important. “If you liked yourself more, you would not care what others thought of you. Right?”

Is that the problem with 99.9% of the people in this world? Selfishness, greed, pride, anger, jealousy, resentment, hatred, fear and envy?

Do you know that if you are experiencing these emotions, you are only contributing negativity to the world, and especially to yourself? But, how does one get rid of those emotions? Well, you work through them. No matter what it takes, you have to constantly work through them. You have to constantly want to better yourself. But, without the desire to change, you won’t be able to change.

Today, be the change. Dig deep to find that changed person that you wish to be. Be better today.
