Unneeded and Unnecessary Baggage

4 January 2009 No Comments

I just moved into my new home over the weekend.  And, the most tiring of the whole move was getting rid of all my unnecessary junk.  Who would’ve thought that dumping my garbage would be so much work?  Why was cleaning out my closet the most draining experience?  I am overwhelmed with how much lighter and happier I feel.  I’m even more amazed at how much junk I had to throw away.  I feel like I’m living a brand new life.

That’s because I cleaned out my closet. My new home represents the ever-flowing abundance that the Divine always has in store, and is always ready to give.  My closet represents all of the garbage I had in hidden compartments of my life.

You see, the only way you can obtain the blessings that are waiting for you is to clean up your mess.  You have to get rid of your garbage in order for the Divine to truly work in your life.  The tiredness I felt came from all that old heavy baggage that was weighing me down.  And my awe came from all the junk that was actually there.

Most of the times we are not even aware of our junk until someone points it out- or we get slapped in the face with it.

Clearing out my junk freed up the opportunity for me to move on to a more beautiful place in my life- without having to carry all of that old unneeded and unnecessary baggage with me.

The junk in my closet was an extension of the junk in my life… my baggage.  Now that the unnecessary waste is gone, I am free to enjoy my new home.

This week, become exhausted with the weight of wait.  Get rid of the old unneeded and unnecessary garbage in your life.  Clear the way for new blessings to go by just tossing out the trash.  Trash is past pain and regrets that cannot reside in your new place.  Get rid of your garbage.  This is God’s gift to you!
