Where Is Your Loyalty?

26 January 2009 One Comment

We are not loyal people.   Are we?  We will enter a relationship just to see what we can get out of it.   It never occurs to us that we should actually give.

Where is your loyalty?

We are takers.  So, when we don’t get what we want from that other person, we blame them and shut them out of our lives. We are such fools to believe that it is their fault for not letting us take from them!   And yet, it has never occurred to us that life is about give and take (i.e. an equal amount of sharing to be done).

Where is your loyalty?

True loyalty is when that person sticks by you, no matter what.  A loyal person does not flee at the first sign of “trouble”.  Are you kidding me?!   A loyal person does not blame you because their life isn’t working out.  A loyal person actually helps you.   A loyal person is never selfish.

Where is your loyalty today?

[...] Why do people find it so hard to be better people? Like I previously wrote, I am finding out things about people that’s truly jaw-dropping. Of all the years I’ve been living on Earth, I have always freely given of myself, my time, my love, my help, my loyalty. It is truly hurtful that people are never willing to reciprocate. Why is this? People are just not strong, honest, sincere and loyal people! Where is your loyalty? [...]
