I Can Help You

13 January 2009 No Comments

I know people that are so selfish and stingy. They sit in their homes thinking that somehow you and the world owes them. So they become smug and overly self-righteous, and can never say, “I’m sorry” or “thank you” – because they are above being wrong.

Besides, they are perfect just as they are! They adopt charities with the hopes that God and other people will see their “good deeds” and they can then have an entryway into Heaven.

In their arrogance, they don’t understand that they cannot bribe, nor buy God.
Those charities are for them – not for God, as God does not need charities. Nor flattery.

For those people, you do all that you can to help them, but whenever you need their help, their response is, “I can’t help you.” What they fail to realize is that in the end they will be all alone. Always, like they already are now.

Today, If you know people like that, continue to extend and give of yourself. Especially when it hurts. It is in giving that we have a direct experience with God. Give of yourself until you can give no longer. Don’t worry about those people. Always say, “I can help you”.
