Yesterday, while sitting in her chair, my hairstylist complimented my PPI website.  I know you may say, “so what?!”  But, why was I surprised by her compliment?          Because it was unexpected.

We never seem to want to give ourselves the proper credit for the good work that we’ve done on ourselves, or the accomplishments we’ve made.  I think we are afraid to.  Because, if we take pride in the many accomplishments we’ve made, we may face judgments from those who feel that we should not feel proud of ourselves.

I am here to build an Empire and leave a Legacy in this world.  And, the only way to do that is to become very proud of the work I’ve already done.  “If I do not appreciate myself, then who will appreciate me?” my stylist asked.

Well said.

Today, appreciate yourself by complimenting yourself.  Feel proud of all of the accomplishments that you’ve made.  Even if you feel that they are tiny accomplishments.  Those tiny accomplishments will one day soon turn into Great Big Huge Accomplishments!
