True Friends Are a Sure Refuge

18 December 2008 One Comment

“In poverty and other misfortunes of life, true friends are a sure refuge. The young they keep out of mischief; to the old they are a comfort and aid in their weakness, and those in the prime of life they incite to noble deeds. –Aristotle

Do you know who your true friends are?  Many of us, by the time we are out of college- and into our professions- have long forgotten who those special people were that befriended and helped us along the way to where we are now.  Where did those amazing people go?  In what ways have we lost contact with them?

All friends have the potential to be true friends.  Friendships don’t come in specific ages or specific packages.

Today, give yourself a moment to reflect on those true friends that have helped you in the past, and maybe even helping you now.  True friends are a sure refuge.
