As Plain As Day

31 December 2008 No Comments

We hurt others because we ourselves are hurting. But, that’s not as plain as day to us. We probably don’t realize that many of the reasons behind our not-so-pleasant thoughts, actions and behaviors have to do with some sort of pain that we’re feeling.

Even when we do mistreat someone, it doesn’t take our feelings of inadequacies away. When we try to make someone else fail, it still doesn’t make us win. When we belittle someone, it doesn’t make us big.

We cannot make people do anything they don’t want to do. Or make events happen faster than they want to happen. We just have to go with what’s as plain as day, and that’s to live congruently.
