Too Good To Be True

9 November 2008 No Comments

In my daily Yeah Right! I mentioned that whenever someone tells you something that is too good to be true, say “yeah, right!” and keep going.  Well, I’d like to elaborate on that by making some corrections.

People can tell you anything they want, but it’s up to you to believe what they say.  The truth is, no one can make anything or any situation good for you.  Only you can do that for yourself.  What is good for someone else isn’t necessarily the best thing for you (as I mentioned in The Real Value).

I also encouraged you to learn discernment, which you should.  But not in a cynical way.  You should learn discernment so that you can weed out any unforeseen negativity that might be brought to you, or that is trying to enter into your space.

Most inspirational information will seem too good to be true at times.  But, the best thing about learning discernment is that you will be able to pick out immediately what will work for you- and dismiss the rest (as I mentioned in Evaluate Your Information).

Today, try not to view too good to be true information with cynicism.  But, instead embrace it.  Maybe what you are truly looking for is somehow hidden within its meanings.
