We Are All Connected

17 September 2008 One Comment

“You determine the effects that you will have upon others, and the nature of the experiences of your life.”
–Gary Zukav

This morning- for about an hour- I was in a deep conversation with a friend of mine. She was explaining to me how she is dealing with a certain issue that’s currently in her life.

While she was describing to me all of the details of this, I found myself relating to her. I realized that I’d dealt with a problem similar to hers in the same exact manner.

We are all connected in that we are not alone. Sometimes when we are “going through” things we have no idea that someone else is possibly facing that same exact predicament.

Elizabeth and I just met about two months ago, and something within us gravitated towards each other in friendship. What I’ve found to be true is that all of us attract people, places, things, and situations into our lives according to how we are living our lives at the moment. We attract those that will assist us in dealing with the very issues that we need to face. We are all connected in a sense that we already subconsciously know how to help the other person.

Today, look around you and become aware of how you are connected to all the people in your life. Ask yourself, “What is the purpose of this person in my life right now?”

Today, ask yourself in what ways is your connection to that person supposed to help him or her.

And, today, know that we are all connected for a grand purpose.
