The Real Value

9 September 2008 No Comments

Many of us always look to others for approval or reassurance that what we are doing in our lives is right. We will ask our best friend’s opinion about which dress to wear, or our sister’s opinion about which guy to date, or our stylist’s opinion on the best hair cut.

We always give the other person’s opinion the best value without even first considering our own. We become so caught up in what someone else thinks of us that we totally discount the value of our own ideas.

The truth is, you know what is best for you. All you have to do is trust yourself enough to listen to your own answers.

What works for someone else may not be the best choices for you. And, depending on someone else’s ideas of who you are only short-circuits your own ability to create.

Today, step outside of yourself to take a deep look inside of yourself. In other words, be on the outside looking in; observe yourself from a distance.

If you stop and spend a few extra minutes searching out the answers that are already within, then you will discover where the real value truly lies.

The real value lies within you.
