Leave Blame at The Door

22 September 2008 No Comments

Blaming someone else for the situations that happen in your life is shirking all responsibility and accountability for yourself. When you blame someone else you completely hand over the control of your life to that other person. That means the other person has the ability and your permission to make decisions in your life for you.

You don’t want that, do you?

When you walk into a situation full of blame you’re walking into a promise of a negative outcome. No good can come of any situation if you are not willing to accept the role that you played in making that situation ever come about.

When you walk into a situation full of blame you are walking in with a gut full of potential ammunition. When you are armed and loaded full of ammunition called ‘Blame’ you do not have your shield of protection;  which is humility. In order to survive any situation- at any given time- it is important to have that shield.

To be able to enter the room of humility- for your much needed shield of protection- you will have to leave blame at the door. Humility and blame do not walk hand in hand. You must take full responsibility and hold your own self accountable for your own actions. And, the only way to do that is through your shield of protection; humility.

Just as you leave your drenched umbrella at the door when you step in from the pouring rain, leave your ego at the door when you step in from a world of nonsense and blame.

Today, remember to leave blame at the door.
