Don’t Worry. Be Happy.

5 September 2008 No Comments

Experts tell us that:

  • forty percent of things we worry about will never even happen,
  • thirty percent of things we worry about are things from the past,
  • twelve percent of our worries are about our health — when nothing is wrong with us — and
  • ten percent of things we worry about are too petty and insignificant to really affect our future. That means that only eight percent of the things we worry about legitimately do deserve our concern and thought.
  • Today, be happy. Don’t worry about the petty nonsense and the things that will never manifest. Write a list of all the things, and especially the people, that help your happiness. When you focus your attention on what brings you happiness, and fill up on it, then you won’t have any more room for worry. Worry would not have a place to go, so it would have no other choice but to vanish!
